Sanbornville Downtown is a bustling retail district. Visit the: Playground, Gafney Library, Town beach on Lovell Lake, and historic Town Hall.
The Extensive snowmobile trail system is another great way to explore & make new friends. Maps are available in local stores. North & South Wakefield & Woodman are residential areas but... visit the many craft stores, antique & collectibles shops, and enjoy the regular yard sales of the residents. |
Our rich railroad heritage is reflected in the preservation of an authentic train turntable in Turntable park, and a unique Museum in the Garvin Building next door. Listen for the whistle of the active train line before you cross! Look for posters about church fairs, public suppers, and community arts programs. Many are held on the open air stage in Turntable Park. East Wakefield includes several of our twelve lakes and our golf course. Ask the stores or restaurants for the Bike Tour Booklet. Explore the back roads' great water & mountain views, as well as town beaches and boat launches. The Heart of New Hampshire's Lakes Region
Union Village boast pretty Branch River with its unique power generating dams, many old mill buildings, and historical sites.
